GPI is currently engaged in delivering Preliminary Engineering and Final Design services for over 50 municipal and county projects through the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) Alternative Set-Aside Program (TAP) and Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Design Assistance Grant Programs.
These federally funded projects encompass a diverse range of pedestrian and bicycle safety enhancements, streetscape developments, and multi-use trail constructions in both urban and rural settings. Our responsibilities include comprehensive design implementation, ensuring adherence to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and fulfilling public involvement requirements. The design scope encompasses Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant pedestrian curb ramps and sidewalks, crosswalks, signing, pedestrian flashing beacons, traffic signals, streetscape elements, street lighting, and bridge/structural improvements.
