Interstate 78 (I-78) is an east-westbound Interstate Highway spanning 144 miles from Harrisburg, PA, through New Jersey, and terminating at the Holland Tunnel in New York.
GPI provided construction services in concrete patching and polyester polymer concrete (PPC) Overlay for a project on I-78 from State Route 412 to State Route 309.
Maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) is set up and torn down nightly in accordance with PUB 213, Pennsylvania’s Temporary Traffic Control Guidelines. The team has fixed various concrete blowouts throughout the project in both directions and all the lanes. The project team included a manager and two inspection staff. The construction began in June 2023 and is expected to be completed in November 2025.
