GPI Geospatial President Paul Badr Elected to MAPPS Board of Directors

Baton Rouge, LA—GPI Geospatial President Paul Badr, CP, PLS, PPS, SP was selected to serve on the Management Association for Private Photogrammetric Surveyors (MAPPS) Board of Directors.

MAPPS is a national association for geospatial firms. The Board is comprised of industry leaders who guide the association’s strategic direction and efforts. Elected by members, the Board represents a diverse range of expertise in areas such as surveying, mapping, remote sensing, and other geospatial services. Paul’s commitment to the geospatial industry, paired with his leadership skills, are tools that will allow him to serve the Board and its best interests.

As the President of GPI Geospatial Inc., Paul has successfully grown GPI’s geospatial division into a highly sought-after and respected surveying operation in the eastern United States. Paul is well-versed in all facets of the survey industry, spanning from conventional land surveying to cutting-edge mobile and aerial LiDAR technologies. Paul manages, leads, and advises his diverse team of over 150 surveying professionals and is responsible for the division’s profitability, sales performance, training initiatives, technical operations, and administrative functions. Beyond managerial responsibilities, Paul oversees staff requirements, adherence to state board regulations, strategic planning, business development, business growth, quality control, client satisfaction, financial stability, training programs, and risk management. Paul’s commitment to GPI Geospatial is at the core of his mission to establish an effective organizational structure within the branch that caters to the needs of the staff, project requirements, and client demands.
