The GPI team was contracted to provide various professional services from preliminary design through construction. GPI completed topographical surveys, developed design plans, prepared applications for municipal site plan approval including SEQR, as well as performed cost estimating and construction inspection. In addition, GPI partnered with local subconsultants to coordinate geotechnical investigation and production of the subsequent report, as well as for the preparation of electrical and site lighting plans for the project sites.

Some noteworthy projects and features include the Heritage Park Skatepark in the Village of Springville, NY, which incorporated a centralized bioretention and green infrastructure area; the Riverwalk Skatepark in the Village of Jamestown, NY, containing one of the most iconic features in the industry incorporating an eight-foot-long metal crescent wrench as an extension to the top of a concrete ramp; and the Rail Yard Skatepark in the City of Lockport, NY, designed to evoke the historic Erie Canal lock system’s five flights.
