Concord Road over Spooner Creek Bridge Replacement

About the Project

The Erie County Department of Public Works is progressing the Concord Road over Spooner Creek (BIN 3367370) Bridge Replacement project. Situated within Erie County in the Town of Concord, the bridge is located near the intersection of Concord Road (CR 415) and Spaulding Road (CR 435).

This project aims to address the deterioration of this aging bridge with a full replacement of the structure. The new bridge will be designed using current design and safety standards. Safety improvements will include a widened bridge to incorporate the addition of two 4’-0” wide shoulders and steel bridge railings. Roadway work will be limited to approach pavement reconstruction that will accommodate the new bridge.

A full detour is anticipated to perform this work. Concord Road will be closed between Spaulding Road and Trevett Road except for local residential traffic.

This project is funded by the Locally Administered Federal Aid (LAFA) program through the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and includes 95% Federal and 5% County funds under Project Identification Number (PIN) 5765.34.
