GPI Celebrates 60 Years of Engineering Excellence
Melville, NY — This year Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI), a multi-disciplinary engineering and planning firm, is celebrating its 60th anniversary. This milestone marks six decades of service to communities, clients, and partners across the country.
Founded in 1966, GPI has grown from a small engineering practice into a nationally recognized, 100% employee-owned firm, known for delivering thoughtful, creative, and practical solutions across transportation, site/civil, structural, water, environmental, and construction services, while maintaining its small-firm feel.
“Reaching 60 years in business is a meaningful milestone, and it reflects the dedication of the people who have shaped GPI over the decades,” said Patrick Kenneally, Chief Executive Officer of GPI. “Our longevity is rooted in strong client relationships, technical excellence, and a culture built on integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.”
“It’s difficult to summarize 60 years of firm history, growth, and impacts. One aspect that has remained the same at GPI since 1966 is commitment to our people,” he adds. “The employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) is a testament to that.”
As GPI looks ahead, the firm remains focused on building upon its legacy while embracing innovation, strengthening partnerships, and continuing to deliver projects that enhance the places where people live, work, and travel.
