Plumbing & Fire Protection Designer Jean Martin Receives ASPE Coin of Appreciation

Albany, NY — Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) is proud to announce that Jean Martin, Plumbing/Fire Protection Designer and President of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) Capital Region NY, received the ASPE Coin of Appreciation at the 2025 Technical Symposium.

The award is presented to ASPE members who have demonstrated exceptional volunteer service and leadership, honoring those whose long-term contributions have advanced the organization’s mission and success.

Under Jean’s leadership, the ASPE Capital Region NY has increased their fundraising funds by 50% in 2025. The funds support educational programs, community outreach initiatives, and member participation at national events. As Chapter President, Jean leads board meetings, coordinates operations, and facilitates events and fundraisers that strengthen engagement within the professional community.

Jean also enhances member education through Lunch and Learn sessions and Plumbing 101 workshops on World Plumbing Day, helping to mentor and inspire newer members.

At the symposium, the chapter also won the Award of Merit. “It is such an honor to serve our amazing Capital Region NY Chapter. The success of our chapter could not be accomplished without the teamwork and support of our fabulous board members. I really appreciate my board,” Jean says.  The chapter also received the 2024 Humanitarian Award for its volunteer efforts throughout the Capital District.
