About the Project
The Erie County Department of Public Works is progressing the Four Rod Road (CR 356) Bridge (BIN 3328050) replacement project. Located within the Town of Marilla, the bridge is approximately 1.5 miles southeast of Marilla Town Hall and carries Four Rod Road over Little Buffalo Creek. Work will include full replacement of the structure.
This bridge was originally constructed in 1938 as part of a realignment of Little Buffalo Creek and is currently in poor condition. The replacement structure will be similar to the existing one with improvements as indicated in the photos to the right, as well as widened shoulders to enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety.
Proposed roadway work will be limited to approach pavement reconstruction to accommodate the new bridge.
