Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. One NoMa Station Chiller Replacements

GPI provided consulting and design services for upgrading the 1,400-ton central chiller plant at One NoMa Station.

Phase One which replaced two of the four chillers was completed in July 2020. Phase Two replaced the other two chillers in 2021. This project began with a detailed field investigation, market survey, and cost-benefit analysis. The results and recommendations were presented to the owner for approval. The design successfully addressed the replacement of the two chillers and associated appurtenances without any disruption in service. This includes the installation of high efficiency chillers with integral economizers (eliminating the expense of operating the cooling towers), selecting a chiller configuration that minimizes piping and electrical changes, and performing a structural analysis
